It was a great day for Kiwisport yesterday and the kids really enjoyed themselves playing cricket, soccer, hockey, rugby and basketball and running relays. Click on the picture below to see more photos.

Cantamath
Well done to Bradley C, Liam, Rory and Stefan who participated in the Cantamath teams problem solving competition at the Town Hall last night and came in about the middle of the field. Congratulations to Danielle, who received a highly commended award for her project and to Bradley S, Charlotte, Elaine, Georgia-May, John and Sam who also received a highly commended award for their project. A huge congratulations to the entire class, who received not one but two excellence awards for their class project, Pasifika Patterns. We looked at rotational and reflectional symmetry in traditional patterns from around the Pacific Islands and displayed what we had learned by designing and creating prints of our own. You can investigate Pasifika patterns online here, just like we did and soon our project will be displayed outside our classroom.
Ski Day
Thankfully, the sun came out yesterday for the Prebbleton School Ski Day and a great time was had by all. Thanks again to all the parents who came for their help.

Australian Science Competition Results

Welcome to C3
C3 would like to welcome six new members to our class! Bradley S., Charlotte, Elaine, Georgia-May, John and Sam have all moved upstairs from C2 in order to even up the class sizes in C Block a little. This means that C3 has now become a Year 6/7 class rather than a straight Year 7 class. The Year 6 students will be getting their own pages up on our Wiki on Thursday morning, while the Year 7s are at manual, so check back later in the week to see what they have to say.
