Friday Basketball

Well done to Prebbleton's Senior A team who had their first win in the tournament against Cathedral Grammar. Prebbleton led all the way, but it was a close-fought match and the final score was 12-8. The whole team played excellently, with our top scorer being Liam, who scored six points.

Many of C3's students took part in this event. All competed well and fairly. A special mention to the Senior A soccer team who came 4th in their competition and the Senior B hockey team who came second in their competition and only lost to the eventual winners.

Open Night a Success!

Several parents and students from Year 6 came to visit C3 and C4 last night for the inaugural intermediate department open-night. In C3 some of us were working on our wiki pages and showing what an important part ICT plays in our programme. Others were showing off their scientific knowledge and making an indicator solution from red cabbage to test out on common household acids and bases. We also really enjoyed showing how an acid and a carbonate will fizz when mixed and giving the children who visited a go too!
